The Boston Porter chair from Repose Furniture combines a unique combination of Tilt In Space (TIS) and independently recline and leg elevation controls. This is so that carers can adjust the user’s position to relieve pressure and provide better comfort.

Suitable for patients that suffer from Parkinson’s Disease, Motor Neurone Disease, Dementia and multiple diagnoses, the Boston is ideal for life limiting conditions.

Engineered to meet the needs of patients that struggle to, or cannot walk, with a range of support features. The Boston is modifiable to suit the user’s individual needs. Additionally, the chair’s form has been close to the front of the manufacturers’ minds, as to reduce stigma.

Key features of the Boston chair include independent motors, a choice of interchangeable and adjustable back cushions and pressure management seat cushions. In addition, the chair comes with a full seat cover to remove pinch points and increase comfort. Seat depth adjustment and full profile leg rest to add support, along with an optional height and angle adjustable footplate come as standard.

For the attendant, the chair features heavy duty push handles with rubber grips and also wing handles for ease of manoeuvring. Four heavy duty locking castors allow the chair to be locked into place.

Along with the aforementioned features, the Boston Porter chair is available as either a manual or electric model with a rechargeable battery.
